Founder and Policy Director
Climate and Energy Policy Initiative
Omonigho Erigha is a climate and energy policy specialist with a strong track record in supporting governments, multilateral organisations, and private sector actors on the formulation and implementation of effective climate and energy policies across Africa. She brings over a decade of experience in financing energy and infrastructure projects.
She is deeply engaged in shaping climate policy and has contributed to several public consultations on global and local climate finance strategies, climate disclosures, carbon market frameworks, and energy transition policies. Her work on the development of carbon markets has been cited by top global regulators and she has served on several expert advisory groups focused on promoting climate accountability and raising the integrity of the voluntary carbon market.
At CEPI, she brings practical and forward-looking insights on how African governments and businesses can respond to evolving climate regulations, manage transition risks and unlock climate finance to meet Africa’s climate ambitions without sacrificing its developmental goals.
