The Climate and Energy Policy Initiative (CEPI) is a non-profit think tank dedicated to shaping impactful climate and energy policies across Africa.
We work with governments, development partners, and private sector actors to strengthen climate governance, unlock finance, and design inclusive frameworks that accelerate the transition to a net-zero economy.
Our work is grounded in rigorous analysis, practical policy insight, and deep regional expertise.
As the climate crisis intensifies, African countries are among the most vulnerable to its impacts. At the same time, global regulators are raising the bar on climate accountability by creating new rules that risk excluding African companies from international markets if policy and capacity gaps are not addressed.
Our vision is a world in which the global energy transition is just and inclusive, where climate finance reaches the regions that need it most, and corporations take urgent action to reduce their climate impacts.
